The

Micah

Conference

Our Mission

The Micah Conference exists to unify youth across the nation in a Christian environment and provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary in order to bring justice to their communities through the manifestation of love, mercy, and humility.

What is it?

The Micah Conference is a completely student-led conference that focuses on empowering youth to create social change in their communities. We take our name from the prophet Micah, who urged God’s people, “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8). Our view on social justice is restorative, transformative, and based in Christian theology. This means that we focus not only on community service projects, but also on discussing what social justice really is and how we can create long-lasting transformation. By featuring a diverse set of speakers both local and national and a variety of interactive workshops, attendees will be exposed to a broad range of current social issues and their potential solutions. In this way, the conference is structured to engender a desire for a justice, a love for mercy and reliance on our God.
